Also known as the Pearl Bush, due to the appearance of its mass of tight, white buds, Exochorda macrantha Lotus Moon is a beautiful deciduous shrub, compact in nature so perfect for the smaller garden. In spring, its arching branches are coated in confetti-like, papery flowers; in autumn the deciduous foliage turns a rich yellow orange.

Originating in China and Asia, the Pearl Bush is extremely tolerant of low temperatures and can be grown as statement planting in large containers. It is a relation of the rose family.
