This evergreen, dwarf shrub, also known as cowberry or lingonberry, has a creeping habit and spreads like ground cover. This carpet of green is covered in late spring by small pinky white, bell-shaped flowers, followed by tart, red berries.

Insights

This is a low maintenance plant, which does not require pruning. Native to woodland and moorland, it makes an ideal edging or underplanting to large shrubs and trees.
