Features

notes

Because they flower later than other members of their family, Allium Milleniums are highly prized. Producing a profusion of rosy-purple, rounded flowers above tall, sturdy stems, its blooms are extremely attractive to a wide range of pollinating insects, such as bees and butterflies.

Insights

This hardy perennial bulb has a long flowering season. Plant in the middle of the border, so the umbrels can grow through other foliage such as paeonies; it can take over from tulips. Also ideally suited to gravel gardens or prairie style planting.
