notes

Rosmarinus officinalis Blue Lagoon is a woody, perennial herb with fragrant, evergreen, needle-like leaves and deep blue flowers which bloom on and off throughout the summer and are also highly attractive to bees, butterflies and other pollinators. It is popularly used as a low hedging plant or in culinary parterres.

Insights

Native to the Mediterranean region it prefers well drained soil and full sun. It is particularly lovely planted along paths where a brush with the aromatic foliage is a sensory delight. Extremely versatile, the leaves are delicious sprinkled in stews and over trays of roasted meats, traditionally lamb, and vegetables, or chopped into thick pasta sauces.
