notes

Deeply veined, dark green leathery leaves are densely packed on Viburnum plicatum Popcorn, and bear fantastic creamy white, popcorn shaped flowers, earning its name! Small fruits are followed by reddish-purple autumn foliage. Like all viburnums, this makes a great all-round specimen plant for your garden or border.

  • Flowering period: May to June
  • Low maintenance

Care

In spring, apply a mulch of well rotted manure or garden compost to the base of the plant. Viburnum requires little pruning. After flowering, cut back stems to a healthy bud and reduce any stems that spoil the symmetry of the plant.
