Also known as the Golden Shield fern, this semi-evergreen Dryopteris Affinis has wonderful lime green feathery fronds that unfurl in spring, later developing into a richer green. Often found in British woodlands, it is easy to grow, and fantastic to use in shady conditions or as a foil against other plants.

The name Golden Shield refers to the golden scales along the stems. Use in dark corners of the garden or for a simple, minimalist garden design. This fern is a recipient of the RHS AGM (Award of Garden Merit), for all round excellence.
