Hardy Plants Guarantee
Proof of purchase is needed for your Guarantees to be valid, so please keep your receipt in a safe place.
All hardy plants including trees and shrubs are covered by our guarantee, covering a period of 10 years from purchase. Please read the terms of these Guarantees carefully so that you are aware of your rights and the exclusions that will apply in respect of the product(s) you have purchased.
Hardy plants, meaning Shrubs and Trees that will withstand low winter temperatures will have the benefit of a 10 Year Guarantee. With adequate and proper care, hardy plants will grow and flourish for 10 years from the date of purchase.
- Any non-hardy, tender plants that are not expected to withstand very low tempatures in our UK climate
- Annual plants, where natural life cycles are typically limited to one year
- Biennial plants, where natural life cycles are typically limited to two years
- Any plants that have not been adequately cared for or mis-treated
The Guarantee is valid from the date of purchase.
If the product is exchanged, or a total refund is given, the ownership of the product deemed faulty reverts to Burford Garden Co.. The amount of any claim under these Guarantees shall be limited to the original purchase price paid for the product.
Any personal data we collect from you as part of the activation process will be used by Burford Garden Co. to maintain the validity of your Guarantee. This will be for the purposes of the Guarantees only and will not be used by them for marketing purposes. The above conditions relating to Burford Garden Co's Hardy Plants Guarantee is not intended to affect your statutory consumer rights.
We hope that your plant quality is at the very highest standard, very rarely this may not be the case and if so we apologise for any inconvenience caused. To make a claim under these Guarantees, please use the following procedure:
- Proof of purchase is required, either by means of receipt or previous registration online. If you are unable to provide proof of your purchase, Burford Garden Co. has no obligation to honour this Guarantee, but may do so at its sole and absolute discretion.
- Provide photos of the plant, you do not need to physically bring your plant back to our store

- If we agree that the defect or damage falls within the scope of these Guarantee, we will arrange a replacement plant, as appropriate.
