Bramblecrest Garden Furniture Guarantee
Proof of purchase is needed for your Guarantees to be valid, so please keep your receipt in a safe place. You will need to have also registered your purchase at www.bramblecrest.com/registration/ within 28 days of delivery.
The 5 Year Structural Guarantee applies to Bramblecrest products purchased and delivered on or after 1st January 2024. For all purchases made and delivered before 1st January 2024, our previous 3 Year Structural Guarantee applies.
Whilst the majority of Bramblecrest furniture purchased and delivered after 1st January 2024 will benefit from a 5 year guarantee, some Bramblecrest products will benefit instead from a 1 year guarantee. Please read the terms of this guarantee carefully so that you are aware of your rights and the exclusions that will apply in respect of the specific Bramblecrest product you have purchased.
The following Burford Garden Company products will have the benefit of a 1 Year Guarantee that the product will be fit for purpose for 1 year from the date of delivery or collection:
- Furniture covers
- Parasols, parasol bases, parasol covers, parasol speakers
- Cushions and cushion storage boxes
- Firepit parts and glass wind shields
- Firepit cooking griddles
- Hanging cocoon frames and fixings
- Tabletops: Ceramic, Tree-free, Ceramic Glass, Glass, Teak
- Adjustable table height mechanisms
- Lazy susans
- Recliner chair and lounger mechanisms
- Piston mechanisms
- Protective furniture feet
The following Bramblecrest products purchased and delivered after 1st January 2024 will have the benefit of a 5 Year Structural Guarantee that they will remain structurally fit for purpose for years from the date of delivery or collection. For Bramblecrest products purchased and delivered before January 1st 2024, this guarantee remains at 3 years.
- Aluminium ranges: includes tables, chairs, benches & loungers
- Woven ranges: includes tables, chairs, benches & loungers
- Vintage Teak furniture ranges include tables, chairs, benches & loungers
- Fabric ranges: includes tables, chairs, benches & loungers
- Rope ranges: includes tables, chairs, benches & loungers
The following exclusions apply to both Guarantees:
- Wear and tear – fair wear and tear and any damage resulting from abuse, whether intentional or accidental including burns, cuts, scratches, tears, scuffs, watermarks, indentations, damage caused by pets and wild animals, or fading caused by prolonged exposure to UV.
- Force majeure events and extreme weather – damage by fire, flood or any severe environmental condition for which the furniture and installation were not designed, including smoke, damp, high temperatures and extreme wind.
- Natural characteristics – normal shrinkage, swelling, cracks, minor warping, splitting, fading, insect damage of wooden furniture. Resin naturally fades and this is not a defect. The weave used in the woven ranges will naturally expand when it gets hot, leading to slight sagging; the weave will tighten as it cools down. Loose or sticking out strands of weave is not a structural defect. These Guarantees do not cover any such damage.
- Oxidisation - The paint work on the aluminium range may suffer from flaking over time because of a natural process known as oxidisation. This is where the paint reacts to oxygen molecules in the air, and such flaking is therefore not covered by this guarantee.
- Non-domestic use and location – these Guarantees do not extend to products used for non-domestic purposes, or taken outside the United Kingdom.
- Transferability - the Guarantees are only valid to you, the original purchaser.
- Improper maintenance – these Guarantees may be invalidated if you have failed to follow proper care procedures. These Guarantees will terminate if you attempt to modify or repair the product without the approval of Burford Garden Company.
- No other garden furniture products other than Bramblecrest furniture ranges are covered by these Guarantees.
- Season-proof cushions - these should be stored indoors during prolonged periods of non-use. If the inner fibre becomes wet this is usually as a result of the air vents being inadvertently exposed to the elements, allowing water to enter the membrane. In this event outer covers should be removed and the internal fibre should be allowed to dry thoroughly prior to use. To further prevent the possibility of cushions becoming wet we would advise the use of a set of tailored waterproof covers (available to buy in store at Burford). During heavier downpours or over extended periods of non-use cushions should be stored indoors.
- Table-top manufacturing defects - Any manufacturing defects to Ceramic, Tree-free, Spray-stone, Ceramic Glass, Teak tabletops must be brought to our attention within 14 days of delivery.
- Improper maintenance and assembly - This guarantee may be invalidated if you have failed to follow or carry out proper care procedures in accordance with the instructions detailed on the Bramblecrest website (www.bramblecrest.com). This guarantee will terminate in the event that you attempt to make any modification to or repair of the furniture without the approval of Bramblecrest. This guarantee may be invalidated if you are assembling any of our products yourself (and/or are using any third party to assist) and any defects, damage and/or faults arise because of such assembly. This guarantee may also be invalidated if such products are incorrectly stored, used or not used in accordance with supplied manuals, or in accordance with our oral or written instructions as to the storage, commissioning, installation or use of the products. Please note that if you have purchased furniture that has painted aluminium parts, exposure to salt water and sea air is known to significantly speed up corrosion of the paint. We would therefore suggest that if you live in a coastal area, you should wipe down the furniture with water on a regular basis to reduce the impact this may have, as any such issues are not included in this guarantee. It is recommended that furniture is stored away during prolonged periods of non-use or at the very least covered. You should ensure that any cover used is breathable and allows the free flow of air. For timber products, the use of non-breathable covers may cause your furniture to become mouldy. The development of mould or algae on any of our furniture will not be covered under this guarantee. Please note that Bramblecrest furniture covers are only suitable for use on our Woven and Aluminium ranges.
The Guarantees are valid from the date of delivery or collection, which may not be the same as the date of purchase.
If the product is exchanged, or a total refund is given, the ownership of the product deemed faulty reverts to Burford Garden Company. The amount of any claim under these Guarantees shall be limited to the original purchase price paid for the product.
Any personal data collected from you as part of the activation process will be used to maintain the validity of your Guarantees. Should you wish for us to activate your guarantee on your behalf, we will ask for your consent at the time to pass your details on to the manufacturer of the garden furniture. This will be for the purposes of the Guarantees only and will not be used by them for marketing purposes. These Guarantees are issued on behalf of the Bramblecrest, the manufacturer of the Burford, Chadlington, Patagonia, Monterey, Chedworth, Vilamoura, Mauritius, Barley and Lattice ranges of garden furniture by Burford Garden Company.
The above conditions relating to Burford Garden Company's woven ranges of garden furniture 3/5 Year Structural Guarantee and 1 Year Guarantee are not intended to affect your statutory consumer rights.
We hope that your furniture is as expected and without fault. Very rarely this may not be the case and if so we apologise for any inconvenience caused. To make a claim under these Guarantees, please use the following procedure:
- Proof of purchase is required, including your receipt and online registration. If you are unable to provide proof of your purchase, Burford Garden Company has no obligation to honour these Guarantees, but may do so at its sole and absolute discretion.
- Provide photos of the damage on the furniture if the defect is visible, to assist in identifying the fault.

- If we agree that the defect or damage falls within the scope of these Guarantees, we will arrange a repair or replacement, as appropriate.
- Please note, if the furniture is over 12 months old you will be required to return the furniture to us at your own cost in order for us to repair or replace it.

We reserve the right to make changes to this Guarantee at any time. You will be subject to the Guarantee in force at the time that you order our products and/or use our services.
