Features

notes

Incredibly pretty, pale pink, cup shaped flowers cover the foliage of Geranium sanguineum Striatum in this spreading herbaceous perennial. Flowering continuously during summer, the pale flowers are accented with darker veining, forming a contrast against the mat of dark green leaves. It makes a fantastic ground cover, wonderful at suppressing weeds, or can be used as part of a cottage garden border.

Insights

The species is called bloody cranesbill in reference to the typical crimson flowers and seedheads – although this is a pale pink cultivar! Geranium sanguineum Striatum is a recipient of RHS AGM (Award of Garden Merit), for all round excellence.
