The clump forming perennial Salvia Blauhügel bears erect spikes proffering racemes of tiny, deep violet flowers, which are irresistible to bees and other pollinators. Providing the garden with deep swathes of colour during summer, it is wonderful when planted en masse or in a container positioned in a sunny spot.

Salvia x sylvestris Blauhügel was introduced by German nurseryman Ernst Pagels in the late 1950's, with its name translating from German to ‘Blue Hill’ in English. It is a recipient of RHS AGM (Award of Garden Merit), for all round excellence.
