notes

Pure white, cup shaped flowers cover the dark foliage of Geranium sanguineum Album in this spreading herbaceous perennial. It makes a fantastic ground cover, wonderful at suppressing weeds, or can be used as part of a cottage garden border.

Insights

The species is called bloody cranesbill in reference to the typical crimson flowers and seedheads – although this is a white cultivar! Geranium sanguineum Album is a recipient of RHS AGM (Award of Garden Merit), for all round excellence.
