Insights
Native to Europe and the Caucasus, the name astrantia comes from the Greek word for star - astra - referring to the tiny star-like flowers. Wonderful for a cutting garden, the long-lasting flowers can also be dried but always leave some in situ since they are marvellous for native pollinators.

Care
- Deadhead to encourage further flowers, once flowers on a stem fade, snip near base. This will also prevent self-seeding.
