The Manor Garden Christmas Table
Often at the heart of the mirth and merriment, the Christmas dinner table is the place where we gather together with loved ones and share in celebrating the season and the year gone by. For our Christmas Tablescape this year, we have been inspired by traditional festive opulence, drawing on rich tones against lustrous golds in candlelight. However, as we are sure you can imagine, even in winter the garden is never far from our minds, and so we were also inspired to blend in natural textures and themes to create our rustic, yet elegant ‘Manor Garden’ setting.
The inclusion of elements from our Bordallo Pinheiro Christmas range brings whimsy and a touch of decadent fun to the scene, particularly the three poised lobsters (available in store only) keeping our amie Crémant De Limoux chilled and ready to pop. Richly fragrant homemade clove studded oranges and tactile velvet ribbons all do their part to contribute to the nostalgic theme.
Festive dinnerware
Weaved into the setting are elements of the natural world, from the fresh fir garland stretching across the centre length of the table, to the ivy prints on our artisan made Wonki Ware dinnerware in festive red and green. Around these pieces, glisters of gold catch the eye, particularly from our beautiful wire mistletoe from Bungalow, a Boncoeurs nativity star and varying heights of Nkuku candlesticks.
To support the scene, we have chosen richly toned table linen and neutral napkins, which tie in wonderfully with the magnificent designs on our Burford Christmas Crackers, each containing a useful item for the garden in the New Year.
A touch of sparkle
Whatever your dinner of choice, we can think of no better way to herald its finale than with something sweet from our Food Hall. A light and festively spiced panettone is always a crowd pleaser, and the meltingly delicious truffles from our Chocolate Selection box are the perfect way to finish off the celebrations with an aperitif in hand.
