Tulipa Greenland (Groenland) is an attractive variety of Viridiflora tulip. Its showy blooms are delightfully coloured with delicate rose pink petals featuring mint-green streaks. This creates a striking colour combination that is sure to bring some interest to a spring border.

Insights

With a unique colour scheme, they come into their own when planted with lime green shrubs or perennial plants. With excellent longevity in a vase, they are a popular choice amongst florists. Tulipa Greenland is a recipient of the RHS AGM (Award of Garden Merit), for all round excellence.

Care
  • Planting Time and Depth: Autumn (October onwards), 15-20cm (6-8in) deep and 10-15cm (4-6in) apart 
  • Protect from excessive wet and strong winds
  • Bulbs are toxic to pets or humans if ingested and may cause skin allergy
  • Deadhead as flowers fade but allow leaves to die back naturally
  • Foliage should be allowed to die down naturally and then bulbs should be lifted and stored somewhere cool
