One of the easiest houseplants to care for, the fern arum, Zamioculcas Zenzi is a tropical plant with a very high water content, allowing it to survive if the owner becomes a bit neglectful! This is a new dwarf cultivar, with its upright, smooth, shiny leaves very close together. Not only does it cope with limited watering, but it also doesn’t need much light, though not darkness! Insights
Native to central Africa, ZZ has adapted to extremes of weather including periods of drought and heavy rain, which is why it’s such a tolerant houseplant. In some parts of Tanzania, its juice is used to treat earache, inflammation and ulceration.
