This wonderfully accommodating plant originates in the wooded, mountainous areas of North America. There it is sometimes referred to as the Foam Flower due to the visual effect, from afar, created by the open flowers. The ‘foam’ of flowers also attracts bees. It is a recipient of the RHS AGM (Award of Garden Merit), for all round excellence.
From late spring to early summer a mass of straight, fine stalks carry racemes of pink flowers which open into a mass of delicate white flowers.
