Born in Glasgow in 1915, Margery Noel Slaney studied her craft at the Glasgow School of Art. Throughout her career, her work was shown at the Royal Academy, and she was a member of the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolour, the Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts, the Society of Scottish Arts and the Society of Women Artists.
