Spring
In Wyatt’s 'Spring', a variety of hazy light tones combine into an abstract tribute to the season of awakening. Working from a palette consisting of a range of organic tones, combined with natural shapes, it is easy to become entranced in this composition.

In Wyatt’s 'Spring', a variety of hazy light tones combine into an abstract tribute to the season of awakening. Working from a palette consisting of a range of organic tones, combined with natural shapes, it is easy to become entranced in this composition.
Wyatt’s pieces consist of raw pigments, including watercolour, egg tempera, oil and wax. On the subject of inspiration, Sally writes, “wild places bring wonderment and affect my thinking. My art is process led, intuitive and nuanced, evoking thoughts on continua or extremes, transience and the universal struggle in nature to achieve balance”.
Living and working in Gloucestershire, Wyatt’s approach to painting is influenced by early studies in earth sciences and a long career in textiles and the decorative arts. Additionally, Wyatt undertook a year of intensive critique and mentoring at the Newlyn School of Art, before taking part in Sky Landscape Artist of the Year, where she gave demonstrations and talks.
