Baked Fig Ball
A typical southern Italian delicacy, Seggiano’s soft baked fig balls are rich in both liquorice and caramel flavours. Handcrafted, this Calabria speciality sees local Dottato figs slowly baked in their own juices, hand-shaped into balls, and wrapped in fig leaves. To enjoy, simply slice and serve with either ice cream, soft pecorino cheese, fresh ricotta, or a wedge of provolone piccante.
