Features

notes

Rosa Emily Bronte (Ausearnshaw) has attractively flattened blooms, the central petals mature to rich apricot, surrounding an eye with deeply set stamens. Repeat flowering, it blooms in early summer and then once or twice again until autumn. Robust and bushy, with upright growth, it makes a healthy hedge and thrives in a border or container.

Please note, our roses are available to purchase all year round, so depending on the time of year your rose may either arrive in bloom or have been pruned or deadheaded appropriately for the season.

Insights

The rose was bred to celebrate the bicentenary of the birth of the novelist, Emily Brontë, whose novel, Wuthering Heights, was published in 1847, a year before her untimely death at the age of 30. It is an iconic, passionate story centred around the complex relationship between Cathy Earnshaw and Heathcliff.
