Rosa Boscobel®
Flowering twice a season, Rosa Boscabel® (Auscousin) is a shrub rose with a medium habit and glossy foliage. Its red buds open into large rosette shaped blooms, packed with petals that shade from dark pink to coral, creating an attractive depth of colour. Notable too is the upward facing nature of the flowers.
Please note, our roses are available to purchase all year round, so depending on the time of year your rose may either arrive in bloom or have been pruned or deadheaded appropriately for the season.

The rose is named after Boscobel House in Shropshire (near the David Austin nursery), whose original owners, the Giffords, sheltered Charles II after the Royalist defeat at the battle of Worcester in 1651. Tradition suggests the future king hid in a nearby tree, an idea that spawned the name for numerous English pubs - The Royal Oak.
