Features

notes
An example of a classic shuttlecock shaped fern, Matteuccia struthiopteris bears pale green feathery fronds which justifies its alternative name of Ostrich fern. Plant in groups in dappled shade or in a container to add interest to a dark corner of the terrace.
Insights

Most beautiful in spring as the new leaves unfurl, this fern makes a fantastic architectural element in the garden and is a recipient of the RHS AGM (Award of Garden Merit), for all round excellence.
