Features

notes
Growing into a large, deciduous shrub or tree, Magnolia Manchu Fan is known for producing a profusion of creamy white, goblet shaped flowers in April, with a little pink smudge at the base. This variety has an architectural presence, beautiful as statement planting or at the back of a mixed border.
Insights

Magnolias are native to Southern China, but this variety was created by an American breeder in California, Tod Gresham. Magnolias evolved very early, before bees, so were pollinated by beetles attracted by the scent of the flowers.
