Artist
Born in 1898 in the Calabrian city of Cosenza, Luigi Amato was an artist known for his portraiture, particularly working in pastel. After studying in Rome at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Via di Ripetta, during his time in London in the late 1930s he was a member of the Pastel Society of the Royal Institute Galleries.
