notes
An attractive, deciduous, columnar shrub, perfect for a small garden or to use as a screen, Frangula Alnus Fine Line has fine, upright, multi stems giving the appearance of bamboo but without its invasive nature. The leaves change from green to buttery yellow in autumn before falling. It bears insignificant white flowers in summer, which turn into bright red berries, ripening to black.
Insights

A cultivar of the Alder Buckthorn, the shrub provides great interest in the garden with its spring new growth cascading in wisps of thin leaves, and the bare stems over winter adding a sculptural element. The bark takes on an interesting, mottled appearance over time.
