Uneaten seeds and debris can spread disease amongst birds. Clean feeders of residual seed every week or two and once a month give each feeder a clean with warm water and a little washing up detergent or non-toxic disinfectant.
Rotate the brush to reach all parts of the feeder tube, remove the base in longer feeders and clean from both ends. Brush can be hung from the loop in the handle.
