Edwardian garden designer Gertrude Jekyll described this sun-loving, evergreen perennial as 'one of the grandest of plants'. Plant in beds and borders as a contrast in foliage form and texture. Especially striking alongside dark leaved evergreen shrubs or ivy clad walls.
