Features

notes
Also known as the Pineapple Lily, Eucomis comosa is an interesting perennial, bearing wavy green leaves and spikes of flower heads, each composed of many tiny, star-shaped flowers. These exotic flowers are cream coloured, which contrast beautifully against the purple tones found beneath the leaves and on the stems. The racemes are topped by a small rosette (giving the plant the appearance of a pineapple!)

Clump forming, this South African native is ideal for positioning amongst summer bedding plants to offer height and interest to the border. It will also make a striking container specimen.
