Handmade at a workshop in rural Wales by skilled, local artisans, the outdoor kitchen is crafted from high-grade, thick British steel, ensuring lasting durability from all conditions. The kitchen will be likely to develop a rusty patina; this is part of its natural ageing process, and is seen as a contributing factor in what lends it its unique, rustic charm.
- To light, simply pull the fire plate to the front of the oven and build up your fire as you would on a fire put.
- Once burning nicely, load up with logs, push to the back of the oven and close the oven door.
- Air vents help you control the heat in the oven, reducing the air flow for slower longer bakes or open it up to reach temps of over 500°, easily monitored with an inbuilt thermometer. When all the hard work is done and the Dome Oven has cooled down, simply slide the fire plate out and clean out the ash.
- Material: 3mm Steel
- Weight: 55.5kg
- NB: All outdoor ovens will begin to rust immediately and will not maintain their black finish. However, this will not affect their long term durability. As they are handmade from sheet steel which has naturally occurring blemishes, there may be very slight variations in the forging and finish. If preferred, clean away any rust with a wire brush then rub over with oil, such as WD40.
- Set your oven on a robust base that can withstand high temperatures.
