Insights
The common name of ‘pink’ is not due to the colour, but the fact that their petals look as if they have been cut with pinking shears! Plant in an open position and remember to deadhead flowers to encourage repeat flowering.

- Moist, well-drained soil

Care
- Cut back after flowering and again in autumn
- Plants are short lived (start to become woody after about six years) but are easily propagated by cuttings
- For floristry, wait until buds have started opening before cutting. If cut when buds are closed, scent will not be as strong.
- Do not over water
- Can cause skin irritation
