An evergreen conifer, Cryptomeria Japonica Kyara Gold bears the slender, columnar habit of a Japanese Cedar, forming a colourful specimen in the garden, full of texture and structure. The loose, spiralling branches bear needles that coil around the stems, the foliage emerging as yellow, the colour retained throughout the year. As the plant matures, this softens to a more subtle hue, deepening to a rusty red in winter.
