notes

Formerly known as montbretia, this Crocosmia x crocosmiiflora Harlequin is a cheerful bicoloured variety producing masses of vivid, freesia-like blooms with a red reverse. The flowers are held in a line on tall, arching dark purple stems in late summer and into autumn.

Insights

Grown from a corm, this lovely late flowering example will quickly divide and form a large clump of sword-like leaves. Crocosmias are herbaceous bulbous perennials that reappear from the bare ground each spring.
