Insights
Native to Hawaii, Cordylines are cane forming plants, which means they frequently shed their lower leaves as they grow. As this occurs, new leaves grow from the top. Additionally, they produce underground growing shoots which appear above the compost as new plants. If these are left in position, they will help to make a bushy plant.

Care
To replicate its humid, warm environments, place your Cordyline on a tray filled with 2cm of pea gravel, followed by 1cm of cold-lukewarm water from the kettle. This evaporation will aid in the balmy temperatures and moisture for an optimal growing conditions, in addition to indirect light.
