Clematis Samaritan Joe™
Launched by Raymond Evison at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show in 2013, Clematis ‘Samaritan Jo’ Evipo075 produces a profusion of flowers at the same time. These large, star shaped flowers are white with purple edging, and have pink/purple stamens with yellow tips.

Launched by Raymond Evison at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show in 2013, Clematis ‘Samaritan Jo’ Evipo075 produces a profusion of flowers at the same time. These large, star shaped flowers are white with purple edging, and have pink/purple stamens with yellow tips.
Clematis need their roots to be cool and their heads in the sun, so plant with roots shaded by other plants. Plant ‘Samaritan Jo’ is named in recognition of the work of the Samaritan volunteers who deal with those in distress and are all uniformly known as Jo.

- Full sun or partial shade
- East, South, West-facing aspects
- Fully hardy
- Group 2 pruning
- As Clematis like cool roots, try to position so that the roots will be shaded from the sun by another plant.
- Bear in mind the space they will need to climb and provide a suitable structure - trellis, wall, fence or other plant - to climb through
