Clematis Lindsay™
New for 2024, Clematis Lindsay™ EvisGsy152(PBR) bears large, star shaped flowers of the most intense indigo, accented with red anthers, which cover the plant from base to tip during May, June and July, with a repeat flowering in September. The free flowering clematis is one of the first generation varieties to come from Raymond J Evison’s new 2014 Breeding Programme on Guernsey, showcasing desirable habit, flower colour, shape, size and abundance.

This clematis is named in recognition of Lindsay Reid, a director of The Guernsey Clematis Nursery, who has worked alongside Raymond J Evison for over 30 years.

- Any moist, well-drained soil

- Full sun or partial shade
- Reduce all stems down to 15cm (6in) of soil level in late winter/early spring.
- Clematis like full sun or partial shade and moist, but well-drained soil with their roots in the shade. For this, plant the crown 5-8cm (2-3in) beneath the soil, ideally shaded by other plants.
- Alternatively layer stones on the surface of the soil, which protects the roots from the sun and from drying out.
- Group Raymond Evison for pruning
