Using Gitta and Peter Plotnicki’s original flea market find as a template, this replica of that 1911 workwear classic boasts fabric clad buttons and an authentic neckline, produced in the same skilled manner as it would have been over 100 years ago, before the existence of modern edging machines. Owing to soft 5.5 oz. all-natural fabric, and the gentle manufacturing process, it provides an extraordinary degree of comfort, wear on wear.

- Due to the nature of the production of this T-Shirt, it is recommended that you order at least one size up from your usual size. Provided with approximately 1-2 inches extra length due to approx. 3% shrinkage in the first wash.

Insights
In 1911, Balthasar Merz established a textile factory on the Swabian Alb in Germany. Then, a century on, after chancing upon a 90-year-old Henley shirt produced by the since defunct textile brand in a Berlin flea market, and finding true inspiration in its quality, Gitta and Peter Plotnicki sought to re-establish the historic name in 2011. Now, as then, the unique fabric of their garments is traditionally manufactured using original loop wheelers in Germany; with each one a product of both patience and artisanal craftmanship.
