Helenium Strawberry Sundae
Helenium Strawberry Sundae is as delicious as its namesake, with small, bright red, daisy-like flowers held on the tips of branching stems, providing a welcome burst of late season colour to the border. This is a sturdier variety of Helenium, with thicker stems and flowers that do not droop so easily. The red petals are flecked with yellow, which varies in proportion to the amount of sunlight it receives.

Easy to grow, it’s fantastic for providing vibrancy in a container or plant in the front of a perennial border for a burst of reliable colour. Bees and other pollinators will thank you. It is said that Heleniums are named after Helen of Troy; if so, they valiantly uphold her reputation for beauty. As the flower heads are held erect on shorter, unbending stems, it makes them excellent for late summer arrangements.
