Features

notes

Osmanthus delavayi boasts decorative leaves with the finely serrated edges; the overall effect of the bushy foliage is to provide a deep green, glossy background for its early spring flowers, which are extremely pretty, highly scented and attractive to early pollinators. These are followed by small blue black berries. A recipient of the RHS AGM (Award of Garden Merit), for all round excellence in the garden.

Osmanthus is an enchanting evergreen native of China, but is perfectly at home in a cottage garden or at the back of a border, especially in partial shade.
