Features

notes

With all the charm of the Regency period, this soft pink climbing rose is unusual because it repeat flowers throughout the summer, creating free flowering, tight clusters of blooms with a clove fragrance. The soft pink flowers with conspicuous yellow stamens contrast beautifully with the dark green foliage. Image courtesy of David Austin Roses.

Please note, our roses are available to purchase all year round, so depending on the time of year your rose may either arrive in bloom or have been pruned or deadheaded appropriately for the season.

Insights

The history behind this rose is complex, but put simply it involves the French rose collector and horticulturalist Philippe Noisette. While in South Carolina in 1811, Philippe found a seedling from a Champney’s Pink Cluster rambler which was both frost proof and repeat flowering, from which he bred this rose in 1817.
