Features

notes

Revealed for the first time at the Chelsea Flower Show 2024, Rosa Emma Bridgewater (Ausb44a16) is a striking colour-changing’ English shrub rose from the esteemed growers at the David Austin nursery. A repeat flowerer with a broad and upright habit, the medium sized ruffled blooms start in a rich pink with blue undertones and an orange heart, gently fading into lilac over time. A graceful beauty, R. Emma Bridgewater will perform best in prime position in a sunny border for all to appreciate.

Please note, our roses are available to purchase all year round, so depending on the time of year your rose may either arrive in bloom or have been pruned or deadheaded appropriately for the season.

Insights

Bred by David Austin and named for the potter, Emma Bridgewater, this rose is a celebration of collaboration and mutual appreciation between the two heritage English brands, as seen first in January 2024 with the release of the Rosa Bring Me Sunshine Emma Bridgewater Mug. Tested over a period of 12 years, the appearance and colours of the rose reference the artistic quality of Emma's works, which have become farmhouse kitchen staples since the company’s conception in 1984.
