Trollius Lemon Queen 3L
- Pot size: approx. 3L
- Height and Spread: 120cm (4ft) x 90cm (2ft 9in) after 2-5 years
The Globeflower is from the ranunculus family, a relation of the buttercup. Trollius comes from the original German ’Trollblume’, meaning rounded flower. It is prevalent in West Asia and Europe.
From July to August the wonderful thistle-like flowers appear. They can be left to create lovely silhouettes in the frosty winter garden or cut for flower arrangements or drying.
- Heavy, damp soil
- All aspects
- Full sun, partial shade
A recommendation for wet, boggy soil is unusual, but beside a pond is perfect for this plant which, in the right conditions, will form a good sized mound quickly and repeat flower if spent blooms are deadheaded.
