Artist
Artist Sandra Lythe has nurtured a lifelong appreciation of art and of animals in their natural habitat. Living and working in the Cotswolds and its beautiful surroundings has provided endless inspiration, leading them initially to experiment with recycled farmyard wire creating three-dimensional farmyard animals. Later, clay became their perfect medium, and using a combination of the technical skills already acquired with observation of animals in the wild, Lythe was drawn particularly to the hare, a creature they strive to portray with quiet introspection and serene stillness.
Masters of the ancient Lost Wax casting process, a highly skilled, labour intensive artisan team has worked closely with the artist, resulting in the creation of this exclusive sculpture, one of a Limited Edition run of 12 - each signed and numbered by the artist.
