Features

notes

This compact, deciduous Chaenomeles speciosa Pink Storm, is a spreading shrub, with spiny branches bearing glossy, ovate leaves. In the late winter to early spring, it produces pretty, hot pink cup shaped flowers. The aromatic, green-yellow fruit that follows in late summer is traditionally used to make preserves and jellies.

INSIGHTS

Pink Storm is ideal for a small garden and the flowering stems make dramatic, indoor flower arrangements characteristic of ikebana (Japanese flower arrangements). The flowers attract pollinating insects at a crucially early point.
