Features

notes
Chamaedorea elegans lives up to its Latin name - it is effortlessly elegant and enhances any surrounding in which it is placed. The fronds with the slim, pointed leaflets, are borne on slim stems and arch gracefully. Also known as the Parlour palm it is one of the most popular indoor plants because it is so easy to care for and in return purifies the air in the room.
Insights

Parlour Palms are native to the rainforest floor in southern Mexico and Guatemala. They were introduced to Britain in the 1800s and became fashionable in the Victorian era, displayed in greenhouses or parlours (hence the name). It is a recipient of the RHS AGM (Award of Garden Merit), for all round excellence.
