Features

notes

A close relative of ordinary peppermint, this Chocolate variety grows rounded, lance shaped leaves in a dark green colour, providing some attractive ground colour. In summer it produces clusters of purple coloured flowers.

Insights

The leaves have a strong minty flavour, which tastes delicious when used in desserts, especially in cold ice creams on a summer’s day. With a hint of chocolate, the leaves are also great as an edible garnish in summer drinks.
