With a blade fashioned from railroad steel, the fork’s handle is crafted from wood that has been shade-dried over several years to achieve both the correct weight and stability, whilst also ensuring water resistance.

Owner of the oldest blacksmith shop in South Korea, Master Shin In-Young is the head blacksmith of Master Shin’s Anvil. Beginning his apprenticeship at 13, he became a master at 17 years of age. Specialising in functional pieces with traditional, minimalistic designs, Master Shin follows old world techniques to create durable works of art. In 2016 the South Korean government named him an Intangible Cultural Heritage Treasure.
