Clematis montana Double Delight
With scented, white, double flowers smothering the foliage in spring, Clematis Double Delight can be grown in any aspect, even up a north facing wall. The strong, healthy foliage is adept at covering unsightly sheds or walls, or the clematis can be left to scramble through a tree for a stunning display in spring. The spring flowering clematis have a very fine root system so do not fare well in waterlogged ground, in fact, they thrive in poor soil conditions, if free draining. Do not over fertilise as this will encourage foliage growth, at the expense of flowers.
Flowers: April – May
