Insights
Shoe designer Chie Mihara was born to Japanese parents in Brazil. She studied fashion in Japan then moved to New York to pursue a career in sculpture, before finding a happy medium in shoe design. She says, 'The best shoes are the ones that you completely wear out as opposed to the pairs that destroy your feet.’ Keeping the idea of comfortable sexy heels in mind, she creates feminine, cheerful and exciting shoes using the traditions and expertise of artisanal shoemakers in Spain.
