Gathering, with Snow Peak, Niwaki & Oliver Spencer

In mid-summer 2022, we hosted 'Gathering', to celebrate enjoyment of the great outdoors. A once unassuming pleasant wooded area, was transformed into our woodland camp, brimming with activity, learning and discovery. Snow Peak’s irresistibly cool tents and equipment led a sophisticated new approach to camping, while other notable names, from the iconic Japanese toolmakers Niwaki to the British clothes designer Oliver Spencer, united utility and style.

The focus of Gathering was friendly informality and fresh air. Naturally we chose a site bordering the Wild Garden, which lent an airy sense of space to the relaxed vibe.

Under the trees, intriguing demonstrations took place in such arcane arts as calligraphy and topiary, with the assistance of keen blade care from Niwaki's experts and some reviving camp stove coffee.

In our Gathering 'camp site' Ki No Bi Gin, Hawkstone, and Willy’s Apple Cider Vinegar offered workshops and delicious tastings, alongside New Ground Coffee serving from under the canopy. Serious appetites were catered for by our pop-up Canteen and their speciality Dhal.
