notes

Nodding, semi double flowers shroud Clematis macropetala Propertius with pointed pink petals and pale creamy margins. The flowers are scented, its intensity increased when grown in sheltered, full sun. This variety of early flowering clematis is a vigorous climber and follows its display of flowers with fluffy seed heads for extended interest.

Insights

The spring flowering clematis have a very fine root system so do not fare well in waterlogged ground, in fact, they thrive in poor soil conditions, if free draining.
